ATLANTA, March 13, 2008 -- The Board of Directors of email service provider Silverpop has approved the promotion of Garrett Suhm to senior vice president of engineering and product operations.
Formerly vice president of product development and operations, Suhm is responsible for the engineering, architecture and infrastructure required to deliver Silverpop's industry-leading on-demand product to its customers. Suhm brings more than 19 years of experience successfully creating software products and services, and in his two years at Silverpop has been instrumental in guiding the evolution of Silverpop's systems to accommodate explosive growth and broadening of its marketing services product line.
"Garrett has helped guide Silverpop to industry-leading levels of uptime and performance," said Silverpop CEO Bill Nussey. "He has managed cross-functional teams, making tremendous strides in improving the company's infrastructure to meet the demands of Silverpop's growing customer base."
Under Suhm's leadership, Silverpop recently deployed its latest release. In designing Silverpop 7.0, developers focused on utilizing intuitive work flow processes and on-screen help, enabling users to quickly and easily access main tasks and key strategic areas of the application. "Deeper adoption of agile development processes was key in allowing us to more easily and quickly implement the Web 2.0 features that customers have come to expect in an on-demand environment," Suhm said.
Before joining Silverpop, Suhm was an assistant vice president at Equifax, where he developed and implemented consumer credit products, and led global enterprise application architecture initiatives. He has also served as a product manager and consultant with Stonebridge Technologies, with successful projects at MCI, UPS, and other companies throughout the Southeast. Suhm graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
